PREPARING YOUR HOME TO SELL
Potential buyers will often drive past a property before making a viewing to check out the area etc; it is important that all of the gardens and driveways are maintained and to spruce up any areas by perhaps painting any soffits, fascia’s; fences; garage doors or any other external doors if required
Viewers will often see small repairs that you perhaps can see past and are able to live with day to day; make a list of any repairs needed in each room of your house and where possible get them sorted before any viewings take place.
It is easy to let furniture and other items build up over time, but it is difficult for potential viewers to see past any clutter; consider storing items externally by renting storage space or utilising the shed/garage etc.
Look at each room and consider if it is worth sprucing up by painting any areas that have become marked or worn over time.
